When I am not on the internet working as a feed burner I spend time on my hobby. I run a traveling fleaze circus.
We love traveling around together. The crew are great guys but if I let them bunk with me they keep me up all night jumpin on the bed, meaning me!
So I built them a bunk house of their own. Something that will made them feel right at home.
The theme of our circus is a wild west show, kinda like Buffalo Bill's except we have Irish cowboys and Vikings instead of Indians. Ya ya betcha we are home based in Ballard, Wa. So I built the crew a miniature, vertical log cabin to go with our circus theme. Lazy man's log house wid no chinkin. Thatchy roof on it to keep them nice and comfy.
Not much to this thing instant logs, hair-o-da-dog and Tacky glue. Hairspray fur a good ole shellacking.
How to... I know ya'll can't read no good so it's mostly pictures.
Why use a yust a little glue when you got dat big bottle of it?
This dog is the 2010 unofishily registered Norwegian Uff Da Hund Champion
tacky roof
Eject hair right onto the tacky roof, brush aligns hairs fur ya.
tacky on top end of hairs
Look Ole, a mini chiwahwa dog!
needs poodle cut
Next time I am gonna find me a good old yeller lab and save a step
so why hasn't yuse guys thought of thatch with hair-o-da-dog? Cause you ain't had 300 fleaze driving you barkin mad!

BARKING MAD MINIATURES

I love this idea. The way my two Shelties shed, I will have enough thatch material for several lifetimes. I am currently making a 144 scale tudor house and I am going to make samples of this technique and the kit recommended technique (which I wasn't too crazy about). I can choose which of the two I prefer.
ReplyDeleteHey, I never thought of dog hair for a roof although I use it regularly for (surprise!) doll hair and as fur for mini animals. Great idea! Thanks for sharing. Chris in Canada, GSOLFOT
ReplyDeleteOh! Is a courious system of the thatching!! Hugs. Maria
